I have great respect for Ollie and his work, but this line of argument has never really sat right with me. Sure, the fact that fascists want to kill people who can't help being their enemy is part of the problem, but there are also lots of people who could "non-violently stop" opposing them. If you're a communist, an anarchist, a democrat, you can non-violently stop doing that too and become apolitical instead. Then you're not the enemy of fascists anymore. Surely we wouldn't be ok with fascists even if they only went after those people who chose to be their enemies.
